The Double Studded Adapter Flange (DSAF) or Double Studded Adapter (DSA) is a flange including a ring groove and a through bore on both sides. It also has tapped end studs that are fully equipped with nuts on both sides and bolt-hole sets that are drilled and tapped on both sides. The two sides are typically not the same size or have distinct pressure ratings, unlike spacers. It is routine practice to connect and adapt flanges with varying nominal sizes, pressure ratings, and configurations using double-studded adapter flanges.
